Au fost anuntate listele scurte pentru 10 categorii ale premiilor Oscar 2024, inclusiv mult-dezbatuta sectiune dedicata filmelor straine. Din pacate, Romania nu a avansat in acest an in cursa pentru “cel mai bun lungmetraj international” unde a fost inscris filmul “Nu astepta prea mult de la finalul lumii” al lui Radu Jude.

A 96-a editie a premiilor Academiei Americane de Film va avea loc pe 10 martie 2024 si va fi prezentata de Jimmy Kimmel. In ultimele saptamani, membrii academiei au votat pentru lista scurta iar in perioada 11-16 ianuarie vor alege nominalizatii care vor intra in cursa oficiala pentru premiile Oscar 2024. Optiunile lor vor fi centralizate si vor fi facute publice pe 23 ianuarie.

In timp ce filmul Barbie este favorit in categoriile dedicate filmelor americane, lista filmelor straine este dominata de productii europene. 

Cursa pentru cel mai bun film strain este condusa de “The Zone of Interest” din Regatul Unit — aproape toate publicatiile de specialitate il dau castigator al trofeului —, urmat de “The Taste of Things” din Germania, “Society of the Snow” din Spania si “Fallen Leaves” din Finland.

In total au fost inscrise 88 de filme in aceasta categorie, membrii voluntari ai Academiei Americane de Film au fost separati in sapte grupuri, iar fiecarui grup i-a fost repartizat 12 sau 13 filme pe care trebuia sa le ordoneze in functie de preferinte pentru Oscar 2024. Au rezultate 15 filme straine pe lista scurta, din acestea numai 5 vor fi nominalizate la Oscar.

Mai jos puteti citi despre propunerea Romaniei din acest an, filmul lui Radu Jude “Nu astepta prea mult de la sfarsitul lumii” si tot mai jos veti gasi si lista celor 10 categorii anuntate de Academia Americana de Film. Momentan, cele doua nominalizari pe care documentarul „Colectiv” le-a avut la Oscar 2021 raman singurele mentiuni ale Romaniei pe scena prestigiosului eveniment.
