S-a anuntat lista productiilor care intra in competitia Oscarului pentru Film Strain. „La Gomera” e printre ele.
Academia Americana de Film a anuntat ieri lista filmelor eligibile pentru Oscarul pentru Film Strain. Printre productii se afla filme de pe toate continentele exceptand Antarctica, iar Ghana, Nigeria si Uzbekistan s-au inscris pentru prima oara in competitie.
Romania a desemnat filmul lui Corneliu Porumboiu, „La Gomera” cu Vlad Ivanov si Catrinel Menghia, drept reprezentantul sau in aceasta competitie
Construit in stilistica filmelor noire, „La Gomera” e un film politist cu mult umor si cu multe detalii subtile care ii surprind pe spectatori cand incep sa le remarce. Cu o structura narativa ca un puzzle, adica capitole care au povesti in jurul altui personaj, Porumboiu se joaca cu atentia spectatorilor: fiecare capitol e in alta culoare de la hainele personajelor la elemente din decor, secvente filmate intr-o anumita stilistica apar cu aceleasi cadre, dar cu alte personaje, in alt capitol.
„La Gomera”, dincolo de povestea politista in care traficanti de droguri comploteaza cu un politist (Vlad Ivanov) ca sa-l scoata din puscarie pe unul dintre colegii lor, folosindu-se de un limbaj fluierat invatat in Spania, e un film minunat in care niciunul dintre personaje nu e totalmente curat sau corect, fiecare are o viata dubla pe care o descoperi surprins si cu zambetul pe buze de la secventa la secventa.
Almodovar din nou favorit pentru, cel putin, o nominalizare
Printre favoritele din acest moment, din lista de 93 de filme, sunt productii cu regizori care au confirmat de-a lungul timpului inclusiv in America, la membrii Academiei de Film: sud coreanul Bong Joon Ho cu filmul “Parasite” (care a fost premiat si la Cannes) si Petro Almoddovar cu “Pain & Glory” cu un incredibil Antonio Banderas in ipostaza unui scriitor aflat in depresie care se reintalneste cu una dintre marile lui iubiri (Almodovar a castigat un Oscar cu All About My Mother in 1999).
Regulamentul pentru parcursul acestor filme pana la nominalizarea la Oscar este urmatorul: filmele trebuie sa aiba mai mult de 40 de minute sa fie produse in afara Statelor Unite si sa se vorbeasca predominant o limba care nu e engleza.
Pe 16 decembrie se va anunta o lista de 10 filme din care se vor face nominalizarile. Anul trecut lista scurta a continut 9 filme, iar in anii precendeti era de 6 filme, dar succesul filmelor din festivalurile europene de film (Cannes, Venetia) a dus la extinderea acestei liste.
Amazon si Netflix se lupta pentru cat mai multe nominalizari la Oscar, in cat mai multe categorii
Se fac planuri pentru productiile Amazon si Netflix ( “Roma” lui Alfonso Cuaron, produs de Netflix, a fost vedeta anul trecut la Oscar), dar ambele case de productie vor dori sa investeasca foarte mult in promovare pentru productiile lor de limba engleza. Se vorbeste deja ca „The Irishman” va fi marele favorit, dar momentan e boicotat de salile de cinema din America care, evident, se afla in conflict cu Netflix si nu vor sa-l difuzeze in saptamanile urmatoare, astfel incat sa fie eligibil la nominalizari conform regulamentului.
La film strain Amazon are productia franceza „Les Miserables”, iar Netflix vine cu un film care a fost premiat si la Cannes, din Senegal, „Atlatics”, regizat de Mati Diop, prima femeie de culoare care a avut un film in competitie la Cannes.
Lista nominalizarilor complete la Oscar va fi anuntata pe 13 ianuarie 2020, iar ceremonia Oscarurilor va avea loc pe 9 februarie.
